Brian Groce

Brian Groce is a man of many hats*, but the one that fits him the best is creative.  Brian has enjoyed creating things since childhood, be it art, an idea or just coming up with a good story to tell.

When it comes to his paintings, Brian likes to sit back and let the paints and brush do their own thing as he goes along for the ride.  His painting style is by no means traditional and he adamantly refuses to classify his work as “fine art” (which he leaves up to the tens of thousands of painters out there who all do pretty much the same thing, which would be nice, thought out paintings of things like mountains and the ocean). When asked about his influences and inspiration, both have the same answer: Tim Burton, Scooby-Doo & his children.  This is apparent in many of his works which have been called “Burtonesque” & “Weird” by gallery viewers and it is not surprising that his art has gained a following by children who save up their pennies to purchase the latest and greatest Groce painting.

When it comes to his photography, Brian has always liked to take pictures of anything and everything and with the coming of the digital age this has made it a lot easier for Brian to take an ample amount of photos with his trusty Cannon cameras.  With a personal digital photograph collection of well over 100,000 photos Brian aims to take the best of the best to display in the gallery.
